2008 / 2009 ROC Board
During the past year the ROC has met a variety of milestones. Here are a few things the ROC
accomplished in the past year:
- The Board extended its membership from 6 to 15 members
- The Board is now also the Management Board of the planned Prospect Road Community Centre
- The ROC is now working collaboratively with the Prospect Road Community Centre Steering
- Committee and HRM to assume the Management responsibilities for the new facility
- The Prospect Road Community Centre is expected to go out to tender before the end of the year
- The ROC employed 3 summer students and hosted a variety of summer programs and were great help in making the Community Festival a huge success!
- The 3 year long Building Bridges Project came to a successful close
- The ROC celebrated the retirement of Barb Allen, who has given much to the community
