Board News – ROC Welcomes Dustin (DC) Boudreau

The board of directors of the Resource Opportunities Centre (ROC) is pleased to welcome Dustin (DC) Boudreau as the organization’s new senior manager – community engagement and administration.

DC has a background in working with diverse communities to engage residents and empower positive change to take place with the voice of the people he is supporting.
In 2010, DC graduated from ICT Northumberland College in Halifax for massage therapy and started his own business helping people reach their health goals and manage their chronic pain. DC grew up in Fort McMurray, Alberta and like many youths, got into trouble along his way. Using his experience, DC began planning and running programs for youth at schools in the Halifax area – this began his journey and passion for working in, and with communities.

Taking a position at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, he worked in the SchoolsPlus program, building relationships and partnerships with stakeholders to break down barriers that prevented individuals of all ages from accessing recreational opportunities.
Living in Spryfield with his husband Mark Boudreau and their two boys (dogs – Charlie and Jaxson), DC continued advocating for communities including Dartmouth North, Eastern Passage, Greystone – Spryfield, and now the Prospect Road communities. Never forgetting where he came from, and all the feathers he gathered to put in his hat along the way, DC stays true to his belief that being a leader is helping others become leaders.

DC can be reached at admin@prospectcommunities.com or by stopping by the Prospect Road Community Centre.
